Ahhh Fun On Christmas Day
What better way to celebrate the birthday of little baby Jesus than to frolic in the dirt on the only motorcycle mentioned in the Bible. Triumph that is. Yep, we watched Bruce Brown's --Hare and Hound-- and got dirty on our old Sleds, man style that is. All I kept thinking was "like Steve McQueen, all I needs a fast machine. . ." although I was probably only going five miles an hour!!

Two of My Favorites Thompson.. HST that is. AND DOUG. POO that IS!
Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I've always believed this, in spite of the trouble it's caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba

A Finned TIMING COVER!!!?!?!?!?
Yep, Chinese Brian is the only other guy I know with an original Award Cycle Finned Timing Cover. I am lucky enough to be putting on the motor I am building for him. We are gonna polish it, but I just could not resist mocking it up with the Cliff Coleman spigot job on the 1958 casting mark Bonneville head. That is also a Wellworth Alloy barrell for the pre-unit Triumph motor. Cool Webco breather on the exhaust rocker box too! BTW (as you young-uns would say) Brian is not Chinese.

So you wanna buy my next bike, huh?
Well this is what it is gonna be like. I won't change a thing except paint, sorry, and you can choose that. That tank and fender are gonna be a different color, but the rest is set in stone unless you wanna pay dramatically more. Everything is gonna be brand new or reconditioned (motor, trans, primary, forks, hardware, fabrication, electrical, etc). If you are looking for a badass 1953 Triumph with cool bars and a radical 60's sissy bar, let me know by giving me a call. It is not gonna be cheap, so punters beware. It will be done in time for tax time so if you wanna get in now with a healthy deposit, it is here.

Back from Bonneville!! Buy the DVD!!!
No not the Bonneville DVD, wouldn't that be nice, but the ENGLISH 101 DVD Lowbrow Tyler and I (along with a poducer and editor)have been slaving away at for what seems like forever. This is a pre-order and DVD's will be shipped this coming week. Make sure you get one, it is essential for all Triumph and BSA Owners who wanna save some dough on their maintenance.

Bonneville is ALMOST HERE!!!!
Yes the weeks are ticking away. Danny here has gone from organizing the back of the shop to building a Lakester in a couple days. Here is the new oiltank for the bike. A few more welds and we will have it hooked up. Big thanks to Mitch at Mitch's Custom Fabrication and Dennis at Calichoppers for making the oil tank. Danny is busy mounting it on the bike.

Von Dutch is Alive in 09 !!
Friend of the shop and editor extra-ordinaire, David Edwards just did those of us who love period bikes a BIG favor. He bought this Von Dutch built Triumph and has set about to "recreate/restore" it. I just love it when he does this thing. You may remember his "behind the 8 ball" Indian and the resto-racer I built him. I hate to sound like a suck up, but it really tickles me when a guy spends the time and money to restore something like this instead of yet another soul-less, stocker that is over restored and just like the other fourteen in the line at Oley, PA or El Camino, CA. How many restored 1968 Bonnevilles do we need??!?!?! Get some David!
