Double Live Gonzo was late 70's, know this cause I saw Ted for the Weekend Warrior tour, which was just after this release. As a side note, this show, at the Pontiac Silver dome was also just after the Cincinnati incident from the Who show and I remember the crowd waiting to get inside was cagey as all hell. It was also so densely packed that I could lift my feet off the ground and not sink 1 single inch! Now that shit's TIGHT! (as my groms say!).
I think this was lat e 70's. Anyway, saw Ted many times. But the last time, during his "Paralyzed" album tour, the Scorpions opended for him in LA. They were new and fresh and insane. He looked tired in his loin cloth. BUT, to this day, I have Nugent on my iPod. No Scorpions.
Ted broke my concert cherry, World Penetration tour at the Hollywood Palladium, 1983 I think. So loud I couldn't hear right for a week. Come to think of it, I still can't hear right. Oh well...
