Hey check it out. This is gonna be the show to end all shows. Yep, the Southern California CHOP Meet. This is gonna be a bike show for bikes tha WE like and stuff that we need. Grand National Roadster Show WIN!!

Hate to blow our own horn here, but if we don't who else will, ya know?? We took the WL to the Grand National Roadster Show this past weekend and won first place in the Early Chopper category. You may also notice the WL on the front of the Horse Magazine this month. The WL is racking them up. Thanks again for the hard work of Jeff, Andy and Frank. They ran out of First Place Trophies by the time they awarded the motorcycle awards so it is arriving later. Here is the "Outstanding use of Color Award" we also won. Big props to the short but infamous Nick-O-Teen on the paint.

TRIUMPH Hardtails The David Bird Connection

David Bird is a talented guy in the midwest who likes to make things out of metal. For us that means HARDTAILS and lots of them. David is making a hardtail for the venerable Triumph 650cc and 500cc unit construction motorcycle. They come in zero stretch, 2 inch over, 4 inch over and 6 inch over. He is also making them for the 1954 to 1959 Triumph swingarm pre-units. This is something the market has been demanding for some time now. Unit 500 and 650 tails are $250 plus shipping and handling and the pre-unit tails are $525 plus shipping and handling. Custom frames for the BSA A65 are available as well. These frames and hardtail sections are beautiful and and of top quality construction. You can get them through FOUR ACES. Please contact us at the shop for your custom built hardtail or frame.

The BIG STOCKER

WOW, look at this totally cool stocker. It is a 1953 Triumph Thunderbird. Guy calls me up and say he has this bike and wants to get it running. I ask if it is all together and he says "yes." Of course I don't believe him because everyone says that. Then he shows up and this thing is NUT AND BOLT together and about 98% stock after all these years. Un-freakin-believeable!! So he wants to get it going for his brother for Christmas. A completely noble endeavor. The mag does not spark, but I clean the carb, set the valves, adjust the transmission and put in a good sparking mag and BAM it fires up third kick. Bo is the brother who painstakingly put it together from the grandfather's basketcase and Jason is the guy who brought it in. It was GREAT to fiddle with this old stocker and get it back on the road. Thanks for bringing it in, Jason!! What a great tribute to brotherly love.

What is up at the shop these days?

Here is some of the stuff we have been working on lately. Andy's panhead got an early Triumph front end. Looks bitchin', eh? Like an old survivor from a Roger Corman movie.

My crusty pre-unit custom has been coming along at a snail's pace. I finally got the swoopy pipes of my dreams put on there. These pipes were aftermarket items from the early 1950s and way out of production by 1960. They are super rare, and if I do say so myself, SUPER-COOL.

And there is always a motor going together on the bench. This one belongs to a buddy's brother and is gonna get the old Four Aces Beauty Treatment with tumbled cases, polished covers and re-cad plated hardware.
